Cambridge MP Bryan May is pleased to accept applications for the Cambridge Constituency Youth Council. The Council will meet with MP May throughout the school year to provide input on federal government policies, ideas, and initiatives. In the new year, the Council will organize and host a major youth-focused event.
“Our Youth Council provided some great ideas last year, and I’m excited to build on that success,” May said. “I’m eager to hear about the issues affecting young people in our community, and to get their unique perspective. The Youth Council has been a great way to get youth involved in current issues.”
The Cambridge Constituency Youth Council will consist of ten to twenty secondary school students from schools across the riding. Feedback from the Council will be consolidated and presented to Federal Ministers throughout the year to help influence government policy.
The Office of Bryan May is accepting applications from interested youth until October 6, 2017. Youth can learn more and apply online at bryanmaymp.ca/page/youth.
